Hi! That's me.
People have used several words to describe me; daughter, sister, aunt, mother, wife, teacher, friend, but I am also a musician. Music is my life. I can honestly say I do not remember a time when I was not a pianist. That's right. I started piano at the age of four.
I have been incredibly fortunate to have so many supporters of my music from a young age. I was given wonderful opportunities to play in public. We're talking a 5 year old playing the piano at a school play, an 8 year old performing in church or an 11 year old playing for children's choir. Finally, at about age 11, we decided to take things one step further, and I began competing or participating in local piano programs. Thus, began my double life.
Anytime, you are participating in an extra-curricular activity outside of school, you can feel kind of different, and it's hard to balance piano and school. I understand this. Thankfully, I have had such wonderful teachers and mentors to help push me along. Shout out to Ms. Hyung Ja Kim & Mrs. Janice Durchholz
My ultimate goal as a piano teacher is to motivate my students the way I have been motivated. To recognize talent and push you to be the best pianist you can be while also realizing the stress of being an adolescent (or adult.. I love my adult students).
I hope that your visit here today is the beginning of a wonderful teacher-student relationship. Please sign up for lessons today!!
